The Antimicrobial Resistance Club University of Nigeria Nsukka (AMR Club UNN), was birthed by the AMR Intervarsity Training Program which by Stop Superbugs Network is a youth centered program with the objectives of training undergraduate students about AMR and subsequent establishment of AMR Clubs to continue reinforcing the knowledge of AMR, promote more awareness and engagement in advocacy, promote the rightful use of antimicrobials, mitigate the spread and development of AMR and strengthen AMR stewardship. Students, as the future prescribers, users and policy makers, remain valuable and important stakeholders in AMR awareness and prevention. By equipping them with necessary skills knowledge and strengthening their capacities, effective AMR awareness and prevention will be improved across all levels.

The AMR Club UNN was established to contribute meaningfully to the global fight against Antimicrobial Resistance through awareness, education, and community engagement. Recognizing that AMR is one of the greatest threats to global health, our club brings together students from various disciplines to learn, collaborate, and take action.

Since our founding, we have conducted campus campaigns, school outreaches, and community sensitization programs, all geared toward responsible antimicrobial use and behavioral change.
