Our Programs and Events
The AMR Club UNN organizes a wide range of impactful programs aimed at education, engagement, and advocacy, including:
World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) – annual flagship campaign with outreach, health walks, and seminars.
Campus Awareness Campaigns – promoting responsible antibiotic use among students.
Community Sensitization Projects – outreach to schools, markets, hospitals, and religious institutions.
Workshops and Trainings – equipping members with leadership, communication, and scientific knowledge.

First Official Awareness Campaign
On 6th November 2024, we took our message to the streets which was our first official awareness campaign at the Faculty of Arts, University of Nigeria Nsukka, again collaborating with the Millennium Fellowship Class of 2024, This marked the beginning of our boots-on-ground advocacy.
WAAW 2024
One of our proudest milestones occurred during the World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW 2024) with a community outreach at Ajuona Obukpa on 27th November 2024, in partnership with the International Veterinary Students’ Association (IVSA) UNN and the IVSA Nigeria Standing Committee on One Health.
The theme was “Educate, Advocate, and Act Now.” This was not just an event; it was a movement.
First Secondary School Outreach
February 10, 2025 – Our first secondary school outreach at the University of Nigeria Nsukka Secondary School.
